Round 32, done with the LSAT and Trench Shotgun
Round 32, done with the LSAT and Trench Shotgun
No yeah the MP-40 is the best, but I do think the thompson is really fun with its crazy fast firerate
Edit: Although the PPSH is also worth looking at with its crazy fast firerate and massive magazine.
One Window is usually regarded as one of, if not the hardest maps in michael's zombies, and while I personally disagree with that sentiment, I do see where it's coming from. With this guide, I guarantee that you will reach at least the mid 20s. Unless you're just really bad, i guess.
Chapter 1: The Map
One Window is the smallest map in Michaels Zombies, and one of the simplest design-wise. It has 4 perks, which are the following:
Quick Revive: Very useful, can buy it 3 times. I typically get it on round 1 since it's so cheap.
Double Tap: Also very useful, slightly depends on weapon choice but I recommend it.
Juggernog: Essential, otherwise you will go down very fast on high rounds.
Speed Cola: The most important, I usually get it before jug even though its more expensive.
In addition, there is the Pack A Punch machine and the mystery box, which will be important for:
Chapter 2: The Weapons
This map lacks mule kick, so your weapon choice is VERY important. Ideally, you have a farming weapon with good ammo and firerate, and an emergency back up gun(BUG) for when zombies get out of the window.
Some weapons I use are:
Mauser: Your starter handgun. Earns a lot of points, but completely useless after round 6 or so.
Any SMG: All great early-mid game farming weapons, although the type 100 burns through ammo a bit too fast. I think the classic P-90 or MP-40 is the best, but they all stack up pretty close.
Classic Rocket Launcher: Surprisingly good. Only holds one shot, but has a ton of damage in a blast radius and a fast reload. Panzershreck is also an option, but you can't see anything while aiming with it so I just hate using it.
Raygun: Great as both a BUG and farming weapon, although keep in mind it has finite ammo and can't create max ammos and such. Damage falls off a little late game.
M2 Flamethrower: My personal favorite farming gun. Infinite ammo and seemingly infinite pierce, plus a little bit of knockback, what more do you want? The classic flamethrower is also here, but I swear on my life it does less damage. I have no clue why, but it feels like it has a way slower TTK.
WunderWaffle: Arguably the best BUG. Infinite damage, chains between zombies. Reload is slow for its capacity, but you can take advantage of the time zombies need to emerge.
Trench Shotgun: My personal BUG. Fast firerate, high ammo, great reload speed, 1 shots well into the mid 20s at a surprising range.
Saiga 12: Decent as both a BUG and a farming weapon in early game and even the start of mid game. You can try to pack-a-punch it, but usually you can get a ray gun by the time you can afford it.
In addition, here are some guns to avoid:
PTRS-41: Slow reload, slow firerate. I assumed it might be good because of Nocturn experience, but its only good there because of Panzermichael. its garbage here.
LMGs: Don't get me wrong, in mid game with a good secondary, the LMGs can serve well as farming guns and even BUGs, but on one window, you just don't have space to reload.
Chapter 3: Gameplay
Now that you know which guns to use, how do you use them?
To start off, I recommend trying to do the classic 6 shot and knife method. Its a lot harder here, but you should get enough points to get quick revive and roll the box. ALWAYS roll with your back to the box, otherwise you get a hug from the devs.
You should get all perks around waves 6-10, and a ray gun and wunderwaffle sometime around then too.
I typically like to stay pressed right up against the window, holding down my farming gun, which is always the M2. When it runs out of loaded ammo, I swap to my shotgun until it hits around 50% ammo, and then I repeat.
When I'm below half shotgun ammo, I move back to the box and let the zombies move towards me hoping for a max ammo. Don't try to train, it won't work.
Pro tip: If you get an insta-kill, use your knife. This goes for all maps, you earn more points and save ammo.
Chapter 4: Conclusion
And there you have it. Thats pretty much all of the knowledge I've gained from all of my many runs and few successes. Happy Fragging!
Not the best but I believe this is a new personal best.
Could have done better if I kept an eye on my ammo.
I might post a guide explaining how to solo one window later.
Do the M2 and classic flamethrowers have the same damage?
It really feels like the classic takes longer to kill, I play a lot of one window and the M2 feels like it takes about half the time to kill that the classic needs.
Michael is a malevolent god
One that Choco forgot about/underestimated is the Trench shotgun/bone divider, It can one shot zombies until round ~30, and has pretty decent ammo storage. It is also available on most maps.
